Flat Rate 3G Mobile Internet in Germany

All HolidayPhone Germany SIM cards include fantastic amounts of 3G Mobile Internet access at a safe fixed price. 1GB (option 1) or 5GB (option 2) are included in the price of the start package.

The data usage is valid for 30 days from your day of departure. Additional 30 days extension of 1GB package is €9.90 and 5GB package is €19.80.

1GB Mobile data is more than enough for most people. 1 GB data lasts for extensive Internet usage from laptop/iPad/tablet or mobile. The 5GB package is for users using extreme amounts of data, watching hours of movies online or using high data bandwidth services from computers. If you don't know how much data you need, you probably need the 1GB option.

The German SIM Card can be used as a data SIM card in a dongle, ipad/tablet, MIFI-router or used for tethering with laptop.

Say goodbye to arbitrary per MB fees.

How long does 1GB data last?

This is a tough question to answer because it depends on how you use it, but for most of our customers, 1GB data is more than enough.

Typically 1GB data lasts for:
4000 emails (no attachments), plus 500 emails with attachments, plus 3000 web pages, plus 200 photos to social media sites, plus 250 hours of Google Navigation usage.

Calls between two travelers in Germany using HolidayPhone

The rate for calls between two travelers using HolidayPhone equals that of local calls as stated above (i.e. around $0.11/min). If you are traveling in a party, we recommend that you order HolidayPhone for all travelers, so that you can make cheap calls between each other on your trip. To achieve this, just dial the local German mobile phone number provided with the SIM.

If the call balance runs out

If you still need additional top up for call credit or more Internet, you can buy top-up vouchers together with your order of HolidayPhone. Top Ups can also be bought in kiosks and supermarkets across Germany.

Receive calls in Germany

You receive inbound calls dialed to your American cellular phone number just as usual as all calls are seamlessly forwarded from the US to your German prepaid SIM card without any roaming charges.

A German cellphone number is included, that can be used when people within Germany or travel companions using HolidayPhone, want to call you. All calls dialed directly to the German number are free of charge to receive.

What if the call forwarding time runs out?

The HolidayPhone package includes 1 hour of free diverted calls from the US, but you can easily add more forwarding time at a low cost when ordering your HolidayPhone package.

In case all your call forwarding time is consumed, the call forwarding feature will stop working, so you don't have to worry about us charging you any fees in arrears.

In comparision, it often costs $1-$5 per minute to receive calls roaming with a US carrier abroad, so by using HolidayPhone, you save $60-$300 for receiving 1 hour of calls on your American cellular phone number abroad.

Calling the US from Germany using HolidayPhone SIM card

When calling the USA using your HolidayPhone SIM card, just dial +1 followed by the US phone number. For example: 212-333-4444 becomes +12123334444.

In order to use the German SIM Card you need a handset that is compatible with GSM 900/1800 and/or UMTS 2100Mhz.

Choose between Micro, Nano or Standard sized SIM

When ordering, you can choose to get a Micro, Nano or Standard sized SIM card.
- Standard size is used in most phones.
- Micro SIM cards are used in iPhone 4/4S and a few newer phone models.
- Nano SIM cards are so far only used by iPhone 5.
